To mark World Clean Up day 2020 some of our staff and residents targeted some hotspots of rubbish dumping and litter on the Bloomsbury estate. We love where we live and we want to continue to make it a better place

Thanks to our friends at Smurfit Kappa who provided the safety equipment for the day
Alleyway next to Camrose Tower was a target area for our litter busters
The more helpers we get the more areas we can target!

Please help us keep Bloomsbury Tidy. Report any concerns to our Neighbourhood team us the button below or if you prefer call us on 0121 464 1550
World Clean Up Day 19th Sept 2020
Bloomsbury EMB will hold a community litter pick to coincide with World Clean Up Day 2020 on the 19th September. We are supported by our partners from Smurfit Kappa and Nechells Pod. All safety equipment will be provided. Please contact the Nieghbourhood team at our offices for more info, or just turn up on the day at 10.30am outside Medway Tower on Cromwell Street. We look forward to seeing you 😀
We donated £100 to the Aston & Nechells Food Bank this week. They provide such a great and well needed service for families on low incomes from our estate and surrounding community by offering food vouchers to those most in need.
Bloomsbury’s Neighbourhood Manager met with an officer from the Food Bank this week to donate the £100 Tesco Voucher. They have since sent in a “Thank You” certificate to us for the kind gesture!!
Great to see the partnership working is going well in this area.
Thanks again to Aston & Nechells Food Bank for the positive work you do!!

Dear residents,
Following this week’s water outage at Medway/Severn and Thames Tower.
Please see below update from Bloomsbury EMB and statement from Birmingham City Council.
Bloomsbury EMB received a petition yesterday. We will take the appropriate action as requested and keep you all involved of the steps going forward.
Going forward with there will be a meeting with the organisers of the petition, BCC, EMB representatives, Equans, Councillor Lee Marsham and the Management Team. Time and date to be agreed.
Residents living in the affected blocks will receive a full response from BCC next week at some point.
Bloomsbury acknowledge this has been an extremely difficult week to those effected by the water loss.
Please see below holding response from Birmingham City Council.
On behalf of Birmingham City Council’s Repairs and Maintenance team and our contractors, we sincerely apologise for any distress and inconvenience caused by the recent disruption to the water supply at your properties and thank all residents for their patience.
While day-to-day management is overseen by Bloomsbury Estate Management, Birmingham City Council remains responsible for maintaining the incoming water supply to all tower blocks and we thank Bloomsbury TMO for their support through this incident.
A comprehensive review is currently underway between Birmingham City Council, the repair contractors, and Bloomsbury Estate Management to fully understand the circumstances surrounding the incident and Birmingham City Council will be writing to each resident individually in due course to provide a detailed explanation of the events.
